Our founder, Patrick McVeigh is passionate about property. He's worked in the sector for almost 30 years so there's not a lot he doesn't know about the latest trends and renting, buying or selling property in Newry and Mourne.
Patrick launched McVeigh Property Rentals back in 1992 which grew to become the largest letting agent in Newry. He expanded the company's offering to include additional services in block management and property sales, with the support of the excellent team he has built up over the years.
Patrick renamed the business to McVeigh Property Services to better reflect the growing range of services the team now provide in domestic property and commercial property sales, rental and block management, as well as property marketing.
Patrick is always thinking about new and innovative ways to service his clients better. This led to the development of Rental-Mate, a cost-effective marketing and rental management service for single property owners to enable them to quickly source tenants for their property, with the option to take the hassle out of tenant management by handing over the monthly property management and maintenance to the McVeigh's team as well.
The Newry man attributes his success to his extensive local knowledge and passion for property, combined with hard work and being open and honest in his dealings with customers and industry partners alike.

A graduate of Ulster University, Olivia joined McVeigh Property Rentals in its infancy in August 2001 as an office administrator and soon became an integral part of the business.
Working in administration, landlord and tenant liaison, accounts, maintenance, property viewings and HR, Olivia has acquired a broad knowledge and working experience of all aspects of the property rental business. She became a partner in 2005 and worked alongside Patrick to establish the block management element of the business. Olivia ensures that the communal areas of residential property developments and apartment complexes are maintained to a high standard. She also co-ordinates the collection of service charges and grounds maintenance fees from residents.
Olivia attributes the company's success to hard work and handpicking a highly skilled and customer focused team. With their support, she has developed strong internal procedures to make operations more efficient, from introducing software to effectively manage and store data to making sure that the team receive continual support to grow in their roles through professional development and job specific training. She is proactive at monitoring and adapting to changes in the property sector and has been instrumental in steering the company through the harshest economic recession in history, and in doing so has laid the foundations for McVeigh Property Services to become one of the region's leading property management, rentals and property sales providers.

Andrina is married and is mother to 3 children. When she's not reading up on the latest trends in the property market, she enjoys reading and travelling.
Whilst still at school, Declan worked within a supported living environment, assisting adults with Autism to sustain their tenancies and work towards independent living. This fuelled his interest in the housing market and he went on to study Housing Management at Ulster University. During his placement year within Northern Ireland Housing Executive, he was the first point of contact for customers, assessing the needs of those seeking to join the social housing waiting list.
Declan graduated with a Second Class Honours Upper Division (2:1) with a Diploma in Professional Practice and worked as a Housing Officer within Social Housing Associations including Apex and Choice Housing. In these roles he managed his own areas of housing stock, dealing with allocation, tenancy management, rental accounts and estate management issues.
Since joining the team at McVeigh Property Services in July 2018 as our Rentals Co-Ordinator, Declan has taken the lead in managing our rental accommodation division on behalf of our landlord clients. He ensures that all tenants receive immediate correspondence on any queries they have, and that both landlord and tenant experience the best possible service. Happy landlords and happy tenants are Declan's daily goals.
